Airstack Raises Over $7M for AI-Backed Web3 Developer Platform
Web3 developer platform Airstack has raised more than $7 million after closing the second half of a pre-seed funding round that was led by Superscrypt. The startup allows developers to access and utilize cross-chain data using natural language requests backed by artificial intelligence (AI). Additionally, Airstack unveiled an updated version of its Jam social app, which features user profiles and groups built around users’ Web3 collectibles.
Investors
The first half of the funding round closed in the third quarter of 2022 and included Polygon among the backers. Hashed Emergent, NGC, Primal Capital, UOB Ventures, and Signum Capital were also investors in the round.
Features
Airstack enables developers to query, combine, and integrate on-chain or off-chain data from multiple sources using a single query request. For instance, a natural language query involving the Polygon blockchain’s native MATIC token might be: “Get all holders of MATIC token who hold a minimum of 10,000 MATIC with their token balances and ENS/Lens/Farcaster details.”
Jam Social App
Built on Farcaster and Ethereum, Jam is an iOS/Android app that allows users to create their own profiles as well as join groups based on their Web3 collectibles. Currently services are provided free of charge but Airstack plans to implement a pricing model in the future.
Future Plans
CEO Jason Goldberg expressed his strategy: “Our immediate focus is to onboard thousands of developers onto Airstack in coming months.” He added that the company will continue working towards improving its product offering as well as expanding its ecosystem partnerships.
